KETO DIET: Lost over 40lbs of fat

I started my journey July 2021, fast forward today July 2022, I am at a healthy 115 lbs. (52 kg), I feel great, my mood is better, I have more energy, I eat healthier. Here's a photo that my husband took as I was getting ready to go out with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday.

What is KETO?

You can find KETO food everywhere, in almost any restaurants. When your body doesn't have any sugar or carbs to burn, it starts burning your fat. And what's amazing is after a week, I started to not feel hungry. No hunger pains or anything and I have a lot of energy! The inflammations that caused my back and neck aches diminished. Experts and scientists say that "Food is Medicine", I agree.

Here's my story.

I have always been petite throughout my entire life. My average weight has always been between 95 lbs. (43 kg) to 110 lbs. (49kg). At 5 feet and 1 inch (154 cm), packing on 150lbs. (68 kg) can be very noticeable.


Fast forward through personal events and to the pandemic of 2020, I gained over 50 lbs. (23 kg), weighing at approximately 150lbs. (68 kg). I was the biggest and heaviest that I've ever been, unhealthy eating led me to unhealthy habits. For my height, packing on that much weight was noticeable. After a family reunion in July 2021, some of my beloved and honest family members pointed out that they noticed my "extra happiness". Yes, in my culture, "fat" is "happy" LOL.


That was when I knew I had to make a change to my lifestyle.

I want to personally THANK the lady who posted her diet journey Instagram as her very IG Post inspired me to go on this diet which changed my life! I have never heard of KETO dieting until July of 2021. Within weeks of research and clearance from my doctor, I started the diet immediately. I saw significant changes as I lost 10 lbs in just 2 weeks!!!

Yes, that was me in July 2021 at my largest and unhealthy weight of 150 lbs (68 kg). Originally, I was absolutely hesitant of posting this photo but I need inspire others! Strong will and determined, I did it. You can too! And the weight loss is permanent, that's the best part.
