I am a proud daughter of immigrant parents who came to this country with nothing but hope and determination. Watching them build their lives from the ground up instilled in me a deep sense of diligence, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to getting things done.

 

My mother ran a small tofu vegetarian restaurant, and my father managed a humble horticulture business. Growing up immersed in Buddhist philosophy, I learned the importance of love, kindness, compassion, and acceptance of all religions. As the eldest sibling, I took on the roles of caretaker and translator for my parents, shaping me into a meticulous and resourceful individual.

 

Over the years, I’ve developed a knack for working smarter, not just harder. I’ve helped friends, colleagues, and clients streamline their bookkeeping processes and improve their workflows. I put myself through college while working full-time, living frugally, and paying off my student loans. Balancing work, family, and academic goals, I graduated with an MBA in Accounting, with plans to earn my CPA, attend law school, and pass the bar.

 

My ultimate dream is to run a successful company of my own—an aspiration driven by the values my parents instilled in me and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
